Ripple Nutritious Pea Milk
Dairy-free. As it should be.
This is Ripple's slogan that can be found on their Pea Milk. I received this product through a free coupon that I received from My Magazine Sharing. They are a company that is associated with Kroger, and Kroger Affiliates. I signed up last month to start receiving products, coupons, and samples. I am very happy I did. I have been on a quest to consume healthier foods. While Ripples Pea Milk is not organic, it is vegan, nut free, and dairy free. That means a lot to me as a consumer, that they are trying to make healthier products for individuals like myself.
I have only tried the chocolate milk, but have plans to try their vanilla milk, and also their yogurt. I do want to take time to describe the taste of the chocolate flavored pea milk though. It is very rich, creamy, and thick. It tasted more chocolate, than regular chocolate milk. It is very smooth.
When I think of pea milk, of course I think of green peas. Not only was I worried to consume this product because of the taste that I thought it may have, my family felt the same way. If I walked passed this in the grocery store, I more than likely would not have purchased it because it says Pea Milk. I drink almond milk, and was originally against drinking that for some time before I had actually tried it.
I think the chocolate milk is great by sipping it alone. However, I think it would be extraordinary in a smoothie. As a matter of fact, that will be my next step to start making my morning smoothies with this.
